The Platteklip Gorge hiking route takes you to the top of Table Mountain. A relatively good fitness level is required to hike this route to the summit. It is approximately 2.5km in distance. It is steep in sections. You are able to take the cable car down the mountain.

Tartarus Cave in Muizenberg, is set in the Silvermine mountainside. It is an easy walk to the cave on a steep incline. The trail is surrounded by gorgeous vegetation. A narrow underground passage leads to a large, slippery-edged pit.

Boomslang Cave hike is a 3.9 kilometre trail located near Cape Town. It features beautiful wild flowers. Boomslang Cave lies up above Kalk Bay, a relatively easy cave to access, and a great cave for novice caving if you have not done any before.
